Explorer.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:19 AM PST 3 February 2025 A low pressure centre will remain mainly stationary near WesternVancouver Island today. This low will slowly move to Explorer
tonight. Northeasterly gales will persist over the majority of the
northern and offshore waters to the north of the low.
A ridge of high pressure in Yukon and BC Interior will keep the
Arctic airmass until Wednesday morning. As the low remains offshore
and the Arctic air pushes south, gale to storm force outflow
Winds will persist along the mainland coast until Wednesday. Gale
force outflow winds may continue through later this week. The Arctic
airmass will also give freezing spray in these outflow winds.
There is a risk of snow squalls and waterspouts over marine areas
