Explorer.
At 5:00 a.m. PDT Sunday intensifying warm front located over the
offshore waters.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT Sunday frontal system located over the North
Coast.
At 11:00 p.m. PDT Sunday weakening cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:23 AM PDT 14 March 2026 An intensifying warm front will bring southeast gale to storm forcewinds over the offshore waters early Sunday morning and spreading to
northern and central waters throughout the day. Hurricane force
southeasterlies will develop from the headlands of Vancouver Island
to Hecate Strait Sunday afternoon. Southeast gale force winds will
also develop over Northern Strait of Georgia Sunday afternoon.
As the warm front passes, winds will veer to southwest gale force
Sunday afternoon over the offshore waters and Sunday night over the
central waters. The northern waters will see winds diminish to
westerly strong in the wake of the warm front.
A quasi-stationary front will set up early next week over the central
waters with southwesterly gale force winds over southern waters and
westerly strong over northern waters.
