By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today approaching low located west of Bowie.

Issued 10:25 AM PST 7 February 2026 A frontal system lying over the Central Coast and Central VancouverIsland will bring gale force southeasterly winds across the Central
Coast, West Vancouver Island south, and inner South Coast waters
today. Winds will ease to strong by the evening as the frontal
System moves out of the region.
A large low pressure complex west of Bowie will continue to drift
eastward tonight, bringing an unstable airmass to the marine
Regions. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds are expected over
the northern and central waters with a risk of thunderstorms through
Sunday.
