Issued 4:00 PM PDT 20 April 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today weakening low located near Queen Charlotte
Sound.
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Sunday weakening low located over northern
Hecate Strait.

At 5:00 a.m. PDT Sunday building ridge located west of Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Sunday ridge located from Explorer to Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 PM PDT 20 April 2024 An area of low pressure approaching Queen Charlotte Sound will move
northeastwards to lie over Northern Hecate Strait overnight while
weakening. Strong to gale force winds over West Vancouver Island this
afternoon will spread into central waters this evening.

Gale force westerly winds are forecast to follow this area of low
pressure. Strong to gale force westerly inflow winds have developed
through Juan de Fuca Strait late this afternoon. Southern reaches of
the Strait of Georgia can expect to see southwesterly gale force
gusts early this evening.
