northeast-southwest over southern Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary frontal system located
on a line northeast-southwest over northwestern Explorer.

Issued 3:49 AM PDT 16 March 2026 An intense warm front is generating southeast storm force winds tothe headlands of West Vancouver Island North and Johnstone Strait
early this morning.
As the warm front passes, winds are veering to southwest
Gales over the northern and central waters.
Southeast gales over Northern Strait of Georgia will persist through
today.
A quasi-stationary front will set up later today over the central
waters with southwesterly gales over southern waters and strong
westerlies over northern waters.
