Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 15 May 2025 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Hecate Strait.
By 2:00 a.m. PDT Friday weakening frontal system located over the
Central Coast.

At 5:00 p.m. PDT Friday building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 PM PDT 15 May 2025 A frontal system stretching from Hecate Strait to the central
Coast will very slowly track eastward. By Friday morning the frontal
system weakens and moves inland. Ahead of the front, southeast gales
have developed over northern coastal waters and have spread to
North Vancouver Island as well. Winds will gradually ease overnight.
