Coast to Vancouver Island.
By noon PST today departing frontal system located over the Lower
Mainland.

At 1:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over Pacific Ocean.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Wednesday weakening ridge located over the
offshore waters.

At 7:00 a.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located over Bowie.
By 7:00 p.m. PST Wednesday departing frontal system located over
southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday low 972 mb located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday quasi-stationary low 970 mb located
north of Bowie.

Issued 3:48 AM PST 11 December 2018 A vigorous frontal system currently lies along the Central Coast to
Central Vancouver Island. The front will progress through the inner
South Coast this morning and then depart into the BC Interior by
This afternoon.

Gale force southerly winds are expected through the inner south
coastal waters this morning.

A weak ridge of high pressure west of the offshore waters resulting
in gale force westerly winds across most areas this afternoon.

The next frontal wave moves over the offshore waters on Wednesday
morning and tracks east through the South Coast by evening.
