By 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday departing frontal system located off
Oregon Coast.
At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:15 AM PDT 27 March 2023 A frontal system off Explorer will move southeastward towards theOregon coast tonight. A ridge of high pressure will build over the
Gulf of Alaska in its wake. Meanwhile another ridge of high pressure
will build over the BC Interior tonight and Tuesday.
Easterly gales over Explorer will spread to the southwestern sections
of West Coast Vancouver Island South tonight. These winds will ease
Tuesday morning as the system departs.
Outflow gales will develop over Howe Sound and Central Coast tonight
as the interior ridge builds. On Tuesday, northerly gales will
develop over west coast Haida Gwaii as a ridge strengthens offshore.
