southern Vancouver Island.

At 1:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over Pacific Ocean.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Wednesday weakening ridge located over the
offshore waters.

At 7:00 a.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located over Bowie.
By 7:00 p.m. PST Wednesday departing frontal system located over
southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday low 972 mb located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday quasi-stationary low 970 mb located
north of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:34 AM PST 11 December 2018 A vigorous frontal system currently over the inner South Coast will
depart inland to the east near midday. Gale force southerly winds
will continue until the front passes.

A weak ridge of high pressure west of the offshore waters will
Result in widespread gale force westerly winds across most marine
regions this afternoon.

The next frontal wave moves over the offshore waters on Wednesday
morning and will track east through the South Coast by evening.
