Lower Mainland.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday departing trough located over southern
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday ridge located over Pacific Ocean.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Wednesday high 1030 mb located west of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 PM PDT 14 April 2026 A cold front over the Lower Mainland will continue to track east
tonight, bringing a brief period of marginal westerly gales into
Juan de Fuca Strait tonight.

Northwesterly gales are expected over the offshore waters into
Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Pacific
Ocean. As the ridge of high pressure approaches the BC coast on
Wednesday, northwesterly gales can be expected Wednesday
Afternoon and evening over west coast Vancouver Island.

Additionally, the cold front is bringing the risk of thunderstorms to
portions of the southern waters this evening. A trough behind

northern waters tonight, and a risk of thunderstorms to the southern
waters Wednesday morning and afternoon.
