waters.
By 1:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located from Haida Gwaii to
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located from Bowie to Explorer.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight trough located north of Bowie.

At 10:00 a.m. PST Monday deepening low 986 mb located southwest
of Bowie.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Monday low 976 mb located north of Bowie.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Monday approaching low 976 mb located southwest
of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM PST 22 December 2024 A frontal system over the offshore waters will move across the
Marine regions today. Storm to hurricane force southeasterlies will
prevail ahead of this system with southeast gales developing over the
inner South Coast. This system will bring gale force southwesterlies
in its wake tonight over the northern waters. Winds will ease to
strong southwesterly overnight.

A low will move across Bowie on Monday. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low over the northern and
central waters.

A deeper low will approach Explorer Monday evening and move towards
Queen Charlotte Sound. Storm to hurricane force southeasterlies will
develop ahead of this low over the central and southern waters Monday
night.
