At 4:00 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
northern Explorer.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Queen Charlotte Sound.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:53 AM PDT 9 July 2025 A ridge of high pressure will build onto the BC coast today.Westerly winds through central and eastern sections of Juan de Fuca
strait will rise to marginal gales early this evening as the ridge
strengthens. The ridge will weaken on Thursday allowing a frontal
system to spread strong to gale force southeast winds to waters near
Haida Gwaii late Thursday.
