northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today trough located over western Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing trough located over the North
Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Friday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 AM PST 5 March 2026 Strong to gale force westerlies continue over Juan de Fuca Strait
ahead of an ridge located over Northern Vancouver Island. These
Gales will ease later this morning.

A trough over Western Haida Gwaii will track towards the North Coast
today, bringing a brief swath of strong to gale force southerlies
just ahead of the trough.
