Issued 4:00 PM PST 13 December 2024 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. PST today low located southwest of Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight deepening low 976 mb located over southern
Explorer.

At 1:00 p.m. PST Saturday departing low 990 mb located over the
northern Strait of Georgia.

At 9:30 p.m. PST Saturday building ridge located over the offshore
waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:44 PM PST 13 December 2024 A low pressure system will move through Explorer tonight, slowly
cross Vancouver Island through Saturday then move into the B.C.
Interior by late in the day Saturday.

Over the southern and central waters, gale to storm force southeast
winds will develop ahead of the low and gale to storm force north
Or northwest winds will develop behind the low. These winds will
diminish as the low moves to the B.C. Interior and a ridge of high
pressure builds on Saturday night.
