Wind northwest 20 to 30 knots becoming northwest 25 to 35 late this evening then diminishing to northwest 15 to 25 after midnight. Wind diminishing to southwest 5 to 15 early Tuesday morning then increasing to south 15 to 25 near noon Tuesday. Wind increasing to south 25 to 35 Tuesday afternoon then backing to southeast 45 early Tuesday evening.

Showers changing to rain near noon Tuesday.

Strait.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight departing low 996 mb located near
Prince Rupert.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located west of Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over the Central Coast.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday cold front located over western Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Tuesday cold front located on a line north-south
over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:03 PM PDT 27 September 2021 A 992 MB low over Southern Hecate will move inland across Prince
Rupert this evening as it weakens.

Southerly gales over northern and central waters and west of
Vancouver Island will shift to widespread northwesterly gales to the
west of the low. Winds will diminish overnight as a ridge of high
pressure builds in from the west.

Winds will rise to strong to gale force southerly over the central
and northern waters on Tuesday afternoon as the next front
approaches.
