Issued 4:00 PM PST 6 February 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. PST today cold front located over Haida Gwaii.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight departing cold front located over the
North Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today building trough located west of Explorer.
By 4:30 p.m. PST Saturday departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:30 p.m. PST Saturday quasi-stationary low located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 PM PST 6 February 2026 A train of frontal waves continues to move into the British Columbia
coast and is bringing southerly gales to central and northern waters.
Another frontal wave is currently pushing into Explorer which is
keeping the southerly gales persisting over offshore waters.
This wave will also create storm force for the headlands overnight
tonight.

As the frontal wave pushes southward over Vancouver Island,
southeasterly gales will develop over the inner South Coast waters
Saturday morning and will ease to strong by Saturday afternoon as the
frontal system moves inland.
