By 4:00 a.m. PST Thursday departing ridge located over the West
Entrance of Juan de Fuca Strait extending southwestward.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today dissipating cold front located over Haida
Gwaii.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today intensifying low 978 mb located west
of Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Thursday low 981 mb located north of Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:33 PM PST 11 February 2026 A cold front over Haida Gwaii will begin to dissipate this evening.Gale force southerly winds over northern and central waters will
slightly weaken late this afternoon before re-strengthening this
evening ahead of an approaching storm.
The rapidly deepening low currently located west of the offshore
waters will move into the Gulf of Alaska tonight. Widespread gale
force southerly winds are forecast for central waters and Hecate
Strait. Waters near and west of Haida Gwaii will see storm force
southerly and westerly winds tonight and Thursday morning.
