Wind increasing to southeast 40 to 50 overnight then becoming southeast 45 to 55 Thursday morning. Wind diminishing to westerly 25 to 35 Thursday afternoon and to westerly 10 to 20 Thursday evening.

Rain changing to showers this morning then to rain near midnight and ending Thursday afternoon. Risk of thunderstorms today. Visibility 1 mile or less in rain.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 29 January 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over Cape Scott.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Thursday intensifying frontal system located over
Langara extending southwestward.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:43 AM PST 29 January 2020 A north-south oriented frontal system will give storm force
southerlies to the Central Coast and local gale force southeasterlies
to the South Coast this morning. In the wake of the front, gale to
storm force southwesterlies over northern and central waters will
persist into this afternoon.

Another frontal system will approach the offshore waters late today
bringing gale to storm force southerlies across the northern waters
tonight into Thursday. As the front nears, there is a potential for
hurricane force southerlies to develop over the Central Coast on
Thursday morning. Meanwhile, as the front moves southward, local gale
force southeasterlies will deverlop over the South Coast late
Thursday.
