Issued 10:30 AM PDT 29 October 2024 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today intensifying frontal system located westof Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday weakening frontal system located from
Langara to the Central Coast then to Tofino.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:20 AM PDT 29 October 2024 An intensifying frontal system will track across Bowie today andHaida Gwaii tonight before moving onshore Wednesday.
Ahead of the front, storm force southeasterlies will begin over the
offshore waters late this morning and then spread to northern and
central coastal waters this evening. Southerly gales will gradually
develop over the inner South Coast overnight. In its wake, winds will
shift to strong to gale force northwesterly over the offshore waters
tonight.
Additionally, localized hurricane force winds will also develop near
the headlands of West Vancouver Island - north this evening.
