At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday building ridge located over Explorer.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Saturday deepening trough located over the
offshore waters.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:18 PM PDT 20 March 2025 A frontal system will cross the South Coast tonight. Southeast galeswill continue over the Strait of Georgia until late this evening,
then shift to moderate to strong westerlies near midnight in the wake
of the front.
Generally westerly flow will prevail over the BC waters as a ridge
builds into the region from the west. Marginal westerly gales are
possible over the offshore waters tonight and Friday morning.
