Issued 10:30 AM PST 7 February 2023 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a linenortheast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today low 998 mb located over southern Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today low 1002 mb located over northern Hecate
Strait.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday approaching frontal system located west
of the offshore waters.

Issued 10:14 AM PST 7 February 2023 A frontal system over Vancouver Island will continue to movesoutheastward across the South Coast this morning. Strong to gale
force southeasterlies in the Strait of Georgia will ease and shift
To moderate to strong southwesterlies this morning, with
Westerly gales developing in the Juan de Fuca Strait this afternoon.
A 998 millibar low will approach Southern Bowie this morning and
reach the mainland North Coast this evening. Gale force westerlies
In its vicinity will develop over parts of the offshore and central
waters this morning. Local storm force westerlies can be expected
south of the low. Gale force outflow can be expected near midday
Near Portland Inlet. Winds will ease to moderate to strong
Westerlies in the wake of the low tonight.
A new Pacific front will approach the coast on Wednesday. The front
will bring widespread gale to storm force southeasterlies to
Offshore waters on Wednesday morning and then to all northern and
central waters by Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening.
