Issued 4:00 AM PDT 11 May 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today low 1007 mb located west of Haida Gwaii.By 10:00 a.m. PDT today dissipating low located west of Haida Gwaii.
At 7:00 a.m. PDT Monday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:49 AM PDT 11 May 2025 A low just west of Haida Gwaii in combination with a building ridgeoffshore will tighten the pressure gradient over offshore waters.
Northerly gales will develop this morning over Bowie and will persist
until early this evening.
On Monday afternoon, the northwesterly gradient will broaden bringing
strong to gale force winds across West Vancouver Island and Haida
Gwaii, Hecate south, Explorer, and the central waters. Winds will
ease Monday night except West Vancouver Island south and Southeastern
Explorer, who can expect gale force winds to persist into Tuesday.
