Coast to the South Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:29 AM PST 18 February 2018 A low pressure system over Washington state this morning will depart
today while high pressure continues to build over the BC Interior.

Gale to storm force northerly winds are expected for many of the
central and southern waters. Gale force outflow winds will also be a
factor near mainland inlets. Outflow winds are likely to persist
until Monday.

With the prolonged northerly winds offshore, waves reaching 9 metres
are expected for offshore waters west of Vancouver Island.
