north-south over northern Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST Wednesday building ridge located over Queen
Charlotte Sound.

Issued 9:20 PM PST 13 January 2026 The remnants of the warm front are currently moving over HecateStrait. Gale force to storm force southerlies are occurring ahead of
the front tonight.
A trailing cold front will move across the northern waters tonight.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies behind the
cold front, except storm force southwesterlies over Bowie. Winds will
ease to moderate to strong southwesterlies on Wednesday as a ridge
builds.
