northwestern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday weakening low 986 mb located over
northwestern Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:40 PM PST 22 November 2024 A 978 MB low currently over Southern Explorer will track towardsNorthwest Vancouver Island tonight and Saturday.
Gale to storm force southerly to southeasterly winds will continue
over southern waters ahead of the low, while northerly gales are
expected in its wake. Southeasterly gales will continue over the
inner South Coast tonight.
Outflow winds continue through the all coastal mainland inlets. Gale
force to storm force winds through Howe Sound will ease tonight. Gale
force winds outflow through the north and Central Coast inlets will
strengthen to storm force through the weekend.
