At 4:00 a.m. PST Thursday low 994 mb located southwest of Explorer.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Thursday low 987 mb located off Vancouver Island.

Issued 3:39 AM PST 17 December 2025 In the wake of a passing low pressure system, an unstable airmasswill be in place across the region. Gale force westerly winds will
persist today.
Another area of low pressure will approach Vancouver Island on
Thursday affecting most of the southern waters. Ahead of the low,
gale force southeasterly winds will develop Thursday morning. In its
wake, winds will shift to westerly gales Thursday afternoon. The gale
force winds will ease Thursday evening.
