Wind southeast 10 to 20 knots except northwest 5 to 15 over eastern sections. Wind increasing to south 20 to 30 this morning then becoming southeast 25 to 35 near noon. Wind increasing to southeast 45 to 55 this afternoon then veering to southwest 45 to 55 late this evening. Wind backing to southeast 40 to 50 Wednesday morning then becoming southwest 40 near noon Wednesday.

Rain beginning this afternoon changing to showers overnight.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 28 January 2020 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. PST today low located near Explorer.
By 10:00 a.m. PST today weakening low located over the Washington
Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located west of Bowie.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Wednesday departing frontal system located on a
line north-south over the North Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located near the offshore
waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:59 AM PST 28 January 2020 A low pressure center near Explorer will continue to spread
northwesterlies to Southern Explorer this morning.

Another intense frontal system will track across the offshore waters
this afternoon and onto the North Coast overnight. Ahead of the
system, storm force southeasterlies will develop over the northern
and central waters late today. A short period of hurricane force
southeasterlies is expected over the North Coast overnight. In its
wake, winds will veer to gale to storm force southwesterlies.

A third system will approach the offshore waters late Wednesday
bringing gale to storm force southerlies to the northern waters
Wednesday evening.
