Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:23 AM PST 23 January 2018 An intense 986 MB low pressure system over Northern Explorer will
drift northward to lie over Northern Bowie by Wednesday morning.
The low will begin weakening tonight.
Over central and northern waters gale to storm force southeast winds
will shift to strong to gale force southerly to the south of the low.
Hurricane force southeasterlies near the headlands of West Vancouver
Island north will diminish to gales near noon. Elsewhere over
southern waters gale force southeast winds will ease to moderate to
strong southeast tonight.
