By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located from Hecate Strait
to Explorer.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday departing frontal system located on a
line north-south over southern Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 4:03 PM PST 15 November 2024 A frontal system over Haida Gwaii this evening will cross the NorthCoast and move into central waters later tonight. The system will
reach the South Coast and its inner waters Saturday morning. Ahead of
the front, southerly gales have developed over northern waters and
will spread into central and southern waters tonight then the inner
South Coast Saturday morning. In the wake of the front, winds will
shift to strong southwesterlies.
On Saturday, westerly gales will gradually develop over the offshore
waters as a trough of low pressure intensifies over the Gulf Of
Alaska.
