Rain, heavy at times is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall. Locations: Channel-Port aux Basques and and along the south coast to the Burin Peninsula. Total rainfall: 25 to 40 mm, with locally higher amounts possible. Time span: tonight until Tuesday night. Remarks: The rain will be preceded by 2 to 5 cm of snow and a period of ice pellets and freezing rain. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
