Yellow Warnings

yellow iconYellow Warning - Cold

Impact Level: Moderate

Forecast Confidence: High

Very cold temperatures and wind chill values below 40 at times continue. Dangerous wind chills of -40 or lower continue to spread east across the Prairies. Improvement will slowly spread from west to east across the Prairies over the weekend, followed by significantly warmer weather early next week. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill. If it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to SKstorm@ec.gc.ca, call 1-800-239-0484 or post reports on X using #SKStorm.
