Winter storm to kick off the week What: - 15 to 30 centimetres of snow expected - Near-zero visibilities at times in heavy snow and blowing snow - Period of freezing rain When: this afternoon into Monday morning Additional information: Precipitation will begin as snow, then gradually change over to ice pellets, and then to freezing rain in the late overnight hours. On Monday morning, temperatures will rise above the freezing mark and precipitation will change over to rain, reducing remaining accumulations on the ground. Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Allow extra time for travel. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
