Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Ottawa North - Kanata - Orléans
  • Ottawa South - Richmond - Metcalfe

Widespread accumulating snow likely Monday night and Tuesday.

Snow associated with an Alberta Clipper forecast to cross Eastern Ontario is expected to begin Monday night and taper off Tuesday night. A general snowfall of 8 to 12 cm appears likely at this time by Tuesday evening.

Although localized slightly higher amounts are possible, snowfall warnings are not expected. Latest indications show that the snowfall warning threshold of 15 cm per 12 hours is not expected to be reached.

The snow will slowly taper off to flurries Tuesday night.

Poor winter driving conditions are expected. Untreated roads may become snow covered and slippery.

Environment Canada will continue to monitor this situation and update statements accordingly.
