Snowfall Warning in effect for:

  • Banff Nat. Park near Lake Louise

Heavy snow is expected tonight and Tuesday morning, with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm. Snow will begin early this evening and continue through the night. The heaviest snow will fall over higher terrain. Snow will taper off Tuesday morning, but a second round of heavy snow is expected Tuesday night and Wednesday. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
