Wave height forecasts for the Western Arctic waterway issued by
Environment Canada at 7:00 a.m. MDT Tuesday 22 October 2024 for today
tonight and Wednesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 7:00 p.m. MDT.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Northwest Beaufort.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 this afternoon
then building to 1 to 2 Wednesday afternoon.

West Prince Alfred.
Mainly ice covered.

North Mackenzie.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 near noon then building to 2
to 3 Wednesday evening.

North Tuktoyaktuk.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 near noon and to 1 early this
evening. Seas building to 2 Wednesday evening.

Banks.
Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to 1 early this evening.

Yukon Coast.
Over open water seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 Wednesday
evening.

Mackenzie.
Over open water seas 1 metre building to 1 to 2 near noon Wednesday
and to 2 to 3 Wednesday evening.

Tuktoyaktuk - northern half.
Seas 1 metre building to 1 to 2 Wednesday evening.

Tuktoyaktuk - southern half.
Over open water seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 Wednesday
evening.

Baillie.
Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to 1 near noon.

Ulukhaktok.
Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to 1 this afternoon.

Amundsen.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 this morning and to 1 this
afternoon.

Dolphin.
Seas 1 metre.

Coronation.
Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to 1 or less early this evening.

Dease.
Seas 1 metre or less.

Bathurst.
