Wave height forecasts for the Western Arctic waterway issued by
Environment Canada at 7:00 a.m. MDT Saturday 5 September 2026 for
today tonight and Sunday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 7:00 p.m. MDT.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

North Mackenzie.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 metre or less.

North Tuktoyaktuk.
Over open water seas 1 metre or less.

Banks.
Over open water seas 1 metre or less.

Yukon Coast.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 early this evening then
subsiding to 1 or less Sunday morning.

Mackenzie.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 early this afternoon then
subsiding to 1 or less late overnight.

Tuktoyaktuk - northern half.
Seas 1 metre or less.

Tuktoyaktuk - southern half.
Seas 1 metre or less.

Baillie.
Seas 1 metre or less.

Ulukhaktok.
