Wave height forecasts for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada
at 6:00 a.m. NST Sunday 21 January 2018 for today tonight and Monday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 6:00 p.m. NST.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Strait of Belle Isle.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 to 2 metres.

Northeast Gulf.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres.

Gulf - Port au Port.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 5 this
morning.

Southwest Coast
South Coast
East Coast
Southwestern Grand Banks.
Seas 3 to 5 metres.

Northeast Coast - Cape St. John and south.
Seas 3 to 5 metres subsiding to 2 to 3 late overnight then building
to 3 to 5 Monday afternoon.

Northeast Coast - north of Cape St. John.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 near noon
then subsiding to 1 to 2 late overnight. Seas building to 2 to 3
Monday afternoon.

Belle Isle Bank - western half.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 5 late
overnight.

Belle Isle Bank - eastern half.
Seas 3 metres building to 4 to 6 late overnight.

Funk Island Bank
Northern Grand Banks
Southeastern Grand Banks.
Seas 4 to 6 metres.
