Wave height forecasts for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada
at 6:00 a.m. NST Tuesday 18 December 2018 for today tonight and
Wednesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 6:00 p.m. NST.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this afternoon and to 3 to 4
Wednesday afternoon. Seas building to 4 to 6 Wednesday evening.

Strait of Belle Isle - western half.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 this morning then subsiding
to 1 or less after midnight. Seas building to 2 to 3 Wednesday
afternoon and to 3 to 4 Wednesday evening.

Northeast Gulf.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this afternoon and to 3 to 4
Wednesday morning.

Gulf - Port au Port.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this morning and to 3 to 5 this
evening.

Southwest Coast
South Coast
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south
Southwestern Grand Banks.
Seas 3 to 5 metres building to 5 to 7 this evening.

East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis.
Seas 3 to 5 metres.

Northeast Coast.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 near noon then subsiding to 2
to 3 near midnight. Seas building to 3 to 4 Wednesday afternoon and
to 4 to 6 Wednesday evening.

Belle Isle Bank.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 this afternoon and to 4 to 6
Wednesday evening.

Funk Island Bank.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 this morning and to 4 to 6
Wednesday afternoon.

Northern Grand Banks
Southeastern Grand Banks.
Seas 3 to 5 metres building to 5 to 7 Wednesday morning.
