Wave height forecasts for Pacific waters issued by Environment Canada
at 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday 15 October 2026 for today tonight and
Friday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

West Coast Vancouver Island North.
Seas 2 metres building to 3 to 4 late this afternoon then subsiding
to 3 Friday afternoon.

West Coast Vancouver Island South.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 late overnight.

Queen Charlotte Sound - eastern half.
Seas 3 metres building to 4 early this evening then subsiding to 3
Friday afternoon.

Queen Charlotte Sound - western half.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 4 this morning and to 5 early this
evening. Seas subsiding to 4 Friday morning and to 3 Friday
afternoon.

Central Coast from McInnes Island to Pine Island.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this afternoon and to 3 to 4
late this evening. Seas subsiding to 2 to 3 Friday evening.

Hecate Strait - northern half
Dixon Entrance East.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 this morning then subsiding to
2 to 3 Friday morning. Seas subsiding to 1 Friday afternoon.

Hecate Strait - southern half.
Seas 2 metres building to 3 this morning and to 4 early this evening.
Seas subsiding to 2 to 3 Friday morning and to 1 to 2 Friday
afternoon.

Dixon Entrance West - west of Langara
West Coast Haida Gwaii.
Seas 4 to 6 metres subsiding to 3 to 4 Friday morning and to 2 to 3
Friday evening.

Dixon Entrance West - east of Langara.
Seas 2 metres building to 3 to 4 early this morning then subsiding to
2 Friday morning. Seas subsiding to 1 Friday afternoon.

Bowie - northern half.
Seas 4 to 6 metres subsiding to 4 this afternoon and to 3 Friday
morning.

Bowie - southern half.
Seas 4 to 6 metres subsiding to 3 to 4 Friday morning and to 3 Friday
evening.

Explorer - northwestern half.
Seas 3 to 5 metres subsiding to 3 near noon Friday.

Explorer - southeastern half.
Seas 2 metres building to 2 to 3 near midnight.

      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
