Wave height forecasts for Pacific waters issued by Environment Canada
at 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday 20 April 2026 for today tonight and Tuesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

West Coast Vancouver Island North
Queen Charlotte Sound
Hecate Strait - southern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this evening and to 3 to 4
Tuesday morning.

West Coast Vancouver Island South.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 Tuesday afternoon.

Central Coast from McInnes Island to Pine Island.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 early this evening and to 2
to 3 late overnight.

Hecate Strait - northern half.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 early this evening.

Dixon Entrance East
Dixon Entrance West - east of Langara.
Seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 early this evening.

Dixon Entrance West - west of Langara
West Coast Haida Gwaii - northern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 late this evening.

West Coast Haida Gwaii - southern half
Bowie - southern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 early this evening.

Bowie - northern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 this afternoon.

Explorer.
Seas 2 metres building to 2 to 3 near midnight and to 3 to 4 Tuesday
morning.

  • Add to shortcuts

    • Click the enter or tab key
    • Click on the "Close" button to save the change
  • Keyboard navigation
    • Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
