Wave height forecasts for the Maritimes issued by Environment Canada
at 5:00 a.m. ADT Saturday 5 September 2026 for today tonight and
Sunday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 5:00 p.m. ADT.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to 1 or less Sunday evening.

Georges Bank
Southwestern Shore
LaHave Bank
West Scotian Slope
East Scotian Slope.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 early this evening.

Eastern Shore - western half
Sable.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 3 to 5 early this afternoon then
subsiding to 2 to 3 near noon Sunday.

Eastern Shore - eastern half.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 5 near noon then subsiding to 2
to 3 near noon Sunday.

Fourchu
Banquereau - northern half
Cabot Strait.
Seas 4 to 6 metres subsiding to 2 to 3 near noon Sunday.

Banquereau - southern half.
Seas 3 to 4 metres subsiding to 2 to 3 near midnight.

Laurentian Fan.
Seas 2 to 3 metres.

Gulf - Magdalen - southern half.
Seas 3 to 5 metres.

Gulf - Magdalen - northern half.
Seas 3 to 4 metres.

Anticosti - southeastern half.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 5 near noon.

Anticosti - northwestern half.
Seas 1 to 2 metres.

How to use

Add to shortcuts
- Go to the desired page on the site, open the Weather shortcuts menu and click on the "Add to shortcuts" button

Rename a link
- Click on the "Organize shortcuts" button
- Select the link to rename
- Click on the "Rename" button and change the link name
- Click the enter or tab key
- Click on the "Close" button to save the change

- Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
- Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links

  - Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
