Recreational boating forecasts for Lake of the Woods Lake Nipigon
North Channel Lake Nipissing and Lake Simcoe issued by Environment
Canada at 5:00 p.m. EDT Tuesday 23 July 2024 for tonight and
Wednesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 5:00 a.m. EDT
Wednesday.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile.

Winds are for mid lake. Nearshore winds may vary considerably due to
shoreline effects.

Note..The recreational boating forecast program is active from May 01
 to November 30.

Lake of the Woods.
Wind southeast 10 knots veering to south 10 near noon Wednesday.

Lake Nipigon.
Wind northeast 10 knots veering to east 10 near midnight then
 becoming light Wednesday morning.

North Channel.
Wind northeast 10 knots backing to north 10 near noon Wednesday.
 Scattered showers ending Wednesday afternoon with a risk of
 thunderstorms.

Lake Nipissing.
Wind northeast 10 knots veering to east 10 this evening then to
 southeast 10 early Wednesday morning. Wind becoming light near noon
 Wednesday then becoming north 10 Wednesday evening. Scattered
 showers ending Wednesday afternoon with a risk of thunderstorms.

Lake Simcoe.
Wind light becoming southeast 10 knots this evening then veering to
 south 10 early Wednesday morning. Wind veering to southwest 10 near
 noon Wednesday then to northwest 10 Wednesday evening. Scattered
 showers ending this evening with a risk of thunderstorms. Scattered
 showers Wednesday with a risk of thunderstorms.
