Recreational boating forecasts for Lake of the Woods Lake Nipigon
North Channel Lake Nipissing and Lake Simcoe issued by Environment
Canada at 11:30 a.m. EDT Saturday 5 September 2026 for today tonight
and Sunday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile.

Winds are for mid lake. Nearshore winds may vary considerably due to
shoreline effects.

Note..The recreational boating forecast program is active from May 01
 to November 30.

Lake of the Woods.
Wind southeast 10 knots becoming light Sunday morning. Scattered
 showers and fog patches overnight and Sunday morning with a risk of
 thunderstorms. Scattered showers Sunday late in the day with a risk
 of thunderstorms.

Lake Nipigon.
Wind light becoming south 10 knots Sunday evening. Scattered showers
 Sunday late in the day with a risk of thunderstorms.

North Channel.
Wind northeast 10 knots becoming light near noon then becoming
 northeast 10 this evening. Wind becoming light Sunday morning.

Lake Nipissing.
Wind northeast 5 to 10 knots becoming light Sunday morning. Fog
 patches forming overnight and dissipating Sunday morning.

Lake Simcoe.
Wind north 10 knots veering to northeast 10 early this evening then
 becoming light Sunday morning. Fog patches forming overnight and
 dissipating Sunday morning.
