Recreational boating forecasts for Lake of the Woods Lake Nipigon
North Channel Lake Nipissing and Lake Simcoe issued by Environment
Canada at 11:30 a.m. EDT Monday 8 June 2026 for today tonight and
Tuesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile.

Winds are for mid lake. Nearshore winds may vary considerably due to
shoreline effects.

Note..The recreational boating forecast program is active from May 01
 to November 30.

Lake of the Woods.
Wind south 10 knots becoming light early this evening then becoming
 southeast 10 Tuesday afternoon. Scattered showers ending near
 midnight with a risk of thunderstorms.

Lake Nipigon.
Wind south 15 knots diminishing to south 10 early Tuesday morning
 then increasing to south 15 Tuesday evening. Scattered showers
 tonight and Tuesday morning with a risk of thunderstorms.

North Channel.
Wind light becoming east 10 knots early Tuesday morning. Scattered
 showers Tuesday with a risk of thunderstorms.

Lake Nipissing.
Wind light today tonight and Tuesday. Scattered showers Tuesday
 evening with a risk of thunderstorms.

Lake Simcoe.
Wind light becoming south 10 knots near noon Tuesday. Scattered
 showers Tuesday late in the day with a risk of thunderstorms.

    • Click on the "Close" button to save the change
  • Keyboard navigation
    • Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
