Canada at 8:00 p.m. NDT Friday 12 June 2026 for tonight and
Saturday.
The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 3:00 a.m. NDT
Saturday.

Systems position.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 994 mb located over northeastern Funk
Island Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday quasi-stationary low 991 mb located
east of Funk Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight building ridge located over Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine weather statement for Newfoundland issued by Environment
Canada at 7:59 P.M. NDT Friday 12 June 2026.

A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move to lie east of
the marine district on Saturday. Gale force northerlies to westerlies
around the low will diminish to strong Saturday morning as the low
tracks eastward.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.

Marine weather statement for Newfoundland issued by Environment
Canada at 3:25 P.M. NDT Friday 12 June 2026.

An area of low pressure over Funk Island Bank will remain nearly
stationary today before eventually moving east of the marine district
on Saturday. Gale force northerlies to westerlies will develop around
the low this evening, diminishing by Saturday morning as the low
tracks eastward.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
