Technical marine synopsis for Newfoundland issued by Environment
Canada at 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday 19 April 2024 for tonight and
Saturday.
The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 8:00 p.m. NDT.

Systems position.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the southeastern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located from Labrador to the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.

Marine weather statement for Newfoundland issued by Environment
Canada at 3:24 P.M. NDT Friday 19 April 2024.

A trough of low pressure stretching across the Southeastern Grand
Banks will move eastward tonight. Strong to gale force northerlies
behind the trough will gradually diminish tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Funk Island Bank - southeastern half, and Northern Grand
Banks.

Marine weather statement for Newfoundland issued by Environment
Canada at 9:51 A.M. NDT Friday 19 April 2024.

A trough of low pressure stretching across the Grand Banks will move
eastward today and tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies to
northwesterlies to the north and west of the trough will gradually
diminish today and tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast. East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank, and
Northern Grand Banks.
