Ice forecasts for the Gulf of St. Lawrence issued by Environment
Canada at 10:00 a.m. EST Sunday 16 December 2018 for today tonight
and Monday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 10:00 a.m. Monday.

First ice edge estimated from Nova Scotia near 4615N 6115W to 4720N
6350W to 4850N 6350W to 5000N 6530W to 4955N 6450W to 4920N 6400W to
4840N 6200W to 5115N 5740W to Newfoundland near 5025N 5725W. Sea ice
west and north of the ice edge.

Second ice edge estimated from 4700N 6155W to 4715N 6220W to 4750N
6130W to 4735N 6105W to 4700N 6155W. Sea ice within the ice edge.

Pointe-des-Monts to Anticosti - northern half.
Open water except 4 tenths new ice along parts of the coasts.

Pointe-des-Monts to Anticosti - southern half.
Open water except 5 tenths new ice including 2 tenths grey ice in
the western section.

Pointe a Michel to Pointe-des-Monts
Tadoussac to Pointe a Michel.
8 tenths new ice including 3 tenths grey ice.

Fundy.
Open water except 3 tenths new ice in bays in the extreme eastern
section.

the coasts.

Gulf - Port au Port - southeastern half
Northeast Gulf - southeastern half.
Open water except 2 tenths new ice along parts of the coasts.
