Ice forecasts for the Eastern and Northern Arctic issued by
Environment Canada at 11:00 a.m. EST Wednesday 18 December 2024 for
today tonight and Thursday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

Ice edge estimated from 6200N 6050W to 6254N 5923W to 6425N 5751W
then northeastward. Sea ice northwest of the ice edge.

West Davis - southern half.
9 tenths grey-white ice except 9 plus tenths grey-white ice
including 4 tenths first-year ice in the northern section.
Consolidated grey-white ice in a few sheltered bays.

East Davis - southern half.
Bergy water except 8 tenths grey ice including 3 tenths grey-white
ice in the northwestern section.

West Brevoort - northern half.
9 tenths grey-white ice. Consolidated grey-white ice in a few bays.

West Brevoort - southern half.
4 tenths new ice except 9 tenths new ice including 2 tenths
grey-white ice in the northern section. Consolidated grey-white ice
in a few bays.

Central Brevoort - southern half.
Bergy water except 1 tenth new ice in the extreme northwestern
section.

Central Brevoort - northern half.
1 tenth new ice except 8 tenths new ice including 1 tenth grey-white
ice in the northwestern section.

East Brevoort.
Bergy water.

Frobisher Bay.
7 tenths new ice including 1 tenth grey ice except 8 tenths grey ice
in the extreme northwestern section. Consolidated grey-white ice in
a few bays.

  • Add to shortcuts
    • Go to the desired page on the site, open the Weather shortcuts menu and click on the "Add to shortcuts" button
    • Page name will display in the "Add this page" window, the name can be changed by highlighting the text and entering the desired name

    • Click on the "Close" button to save the change
  • Keyboard navigation
    • Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
