Ice forecasts for the Eastern and Northern Arctic issued by
Environment Canada at 11:00 a.m. EDT Monday 21 October 2024 for
today tonight and Tuesday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.

First ice edge estimated from Baffin Island near 6924N 6700W to
7015N 6700W to 7200N 7315W to 7325N 7630W to Bylot Island near 7330N
7711W. Sea ice west of the ice edge.

Second ice edge estimated from Bylot Island 7346N 8024W to 7415N
7800W to 7558N 7411W then northeastward. Sea ice northwest of the
ice edge.

Queens.
Bergy water except 2 tenths new ice including a trace of multi-year
ice in Penny Strait.

Barrow
Lancaster - western half.
Bergy water.

Jones - eastern half.
Bergy water except 4 tenths grey ice including a trace of multi-year
ice in the extreme eastern section.

Clarence - southern half.
Bergy water except 4 tenths grey ice including 1 tenth multi-year
ice in the northwestern section.

Clarence - northern half.
1 tenth multi-year ice except 9 tenths grey-white ice including 4
tenths multi-year ice in the western section.

Kane - southern half.
2 tenths multi-year ice except 9 tenths multi-year ice in the
northern section.

Lancaster - eastern half.
Bergy water except 1 tenth new ice including a trace of multi-year
ice in the extreme northeastern section.

West Baffin - northern half.
Bergy water except 1 tenth new ice including a trace of multi-year
ice in the extreme northwestern section.

      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
