Ice forecasts for the Eastern and Northern Arctic issued by
Environment Canada at 11:00 A.M. EDT Saturday 5 September 2026 for
today tonight and Sunday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 11:00 A.M. Sunday.

First ice edge estimated from Baffin Island near 6505N 6416W to
6428N 6442W to 6346N 6218W to 6529N 6137W to Baffin Island near
6548N 6217W. Sea ice north then west of the ice edge. 

Second ice edge estimated from Somerset Island near 7407N 9426W to
7443N 9306W to Devon Island near 7616N 9355W. Sea ice west of the
ice edge. 

Third ice edge estimated from Devon Island near 7619N 8927W to
Ellesmere Island near 7625N 8909W. Sea ice northwest of the ice
edge. 

Fourth ice edge estimated from Ellesmere Island near 7627N 7827W to
7614N 7429W then northeastward. Sea ice north of the ice edge.
