A period of very cold wind chills is expected. When: Tonight and Saturday morning. Where: B.C. Peace Region including Fort St. John and Dawson Creek. Additional information: Cold temperatures combined with strong winds will give wind chill values near minus 40 tonight. Wind chills will moderate during the day on Saturday as temperatures rise. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant. Watch for colour changes on fingers and toes, pain, numbness, a tingling sensation, or swelling. If present, move indoors and begin warming.
