Temperatures are forecast to rapidly drop this morning. Where: BC Peace region. Hazards: Water from melted snow may freeze, resulting in slippery surfaces. Remarks: An Arctic airmass will arrive and temperatures will drop quickly this morning. Residual water from melted snow will freeze and result in locally icy conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.
