Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. What: southeast winds 90 km/h gusting to 110-120 km/h. When: Now until this afternoon. Where: Haida Gwaii, exposed coastal areas of North Coast, Central Coast, and North Vancouver Island. Additional information: Another strong storm system is approaching from the west this morning. Strong and gusty southeast winds will rise this morning and persist today. Winds will ease this afternoon for North Vancouver Island and ease this evening for Haida Gwaii, North Coast coastal sections and Central Coast. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.
