A spring storm with heavy snow continues. Total snow amounts of 30 to 50 cm are expected by the end of the day Friday. Freezing rain or ice pellets may also cause slippery conditions in some areas, including Cumberland House, Island Falls, Southend and parts of Highway 123. Snow will begin tapering off Friday night, but light snow will continue into the weekend. Travel will likely be hazardous. Road closures are possible. Keep roofs clear to avoid the danger of heavy snow loads. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
