SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

The first snowfall of the season is expected for much of Alberta, and may affect holiday travel. Rain will gradually change to snow tonight in West-Central Alberta, and for much of the province on Saturday or Saturday night. By the end of the day Saturday, snow will accumulate over much of Central and Northern Alberta. Snowfall warnings have been issued where snowfall amounts are expected to have more significant impacts. Snow will move southwards Saturday night and continue to affect areas south of Calgary on Sunday. At this time, only light snow is expected in Calgary and areas to its east, but more significant snowfall may occur against the Southern Alberta foothills as well as areas along the US border including the Cypress Hills. Prepare for changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.   • Add to shortcuts

    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
