Blizzard Warning in effect for:

Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and visibility frequently near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring. Locations: southeastern Labrador. Total snowfall: 20 to 40 cm. Locally higher amounts possible. Maximum wind gusts (tonight): north to northeasterly 80 to 100 km/h. Maximum wind gusts (Sunday morning): north to northwesterly 80 to 100 km/h, except up to 130 in the Black Tickle area. Time span: Red Bay to L'Anse-au-Clair: ending by early Sunday morning. Eagle River and Norman Bay to Lodge Bay: ending late Sunday morning. Cartwright to Black Tickle: ending Sunday afternoon. Travel is expected to be extremely hazardous due to reduced visibility. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. If you must travel, keep others informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit and mobile phone. Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 4 hours.
