Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Fort Hope - Lansdowne House - Ogoki

Icy conditions Friday night into Sunday. Rain for some areas on Saturday. What: Ice accumulations of 1 to 4 mm possible. Significant warm up with rain over some areas. When: Beginning Friday night and continuing through Saturday night. Additional information: Patchy freezing rain ahead of an approaching low pressure system may become more widespread on Saturday. The track of this low pressure system is still somewhat uncertain which will affect the precipitation types and amounts. Freezing rain warnings will be issued for some regions as confidence increases. The precipitation could transition to periods of rain as temperatures rise above freezing Saturday afternoon from Pickle Lake extending northeast to Attawapiskat. The combination of melting snow and rain could result in water pooling in some areas. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.
