SNOWFALL WARNING

Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • R.M. of Kindersley including Kindersley Brock and Flaxcombe

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected. A developing low pressure system over Montana will spread a large area of heavy snow across southern Saskatchewan on Saturday. Snow will begin Saturday morning near the Alberta border and reach the Manitoba border by late Saturday afternoon. For most areas, accumulating snow will taper off on Sunday morning. For east-central areas of the province, the heavy snow will linger into Sunday evening. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to SKstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #SKStorm.
