YELLOW WATCH - SEVERE THUNDERSTORM

Impact Level: Moderate

Forecast Confidence: High

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Location: Western and central Manitoba. Timing: Afternoon and evening. Hazards: - 4 to 6 cm hail. - 50 to 70 mm rainfall, locally. - 100 km/h wind gusts. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Secure loose objects. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.
